Hi guys,

All blogs are on Blogger accounts, but I use multiple accounts. Google has no problem with you running mulitple blogs, as long as you create quality content that you wrote (no copy/paste) and is helpful to the visitor. They want money too remember.

I create the blog with 6-10 posts and then let it go for 3 months. Then I add a new post every month. Easy. My schedule is 1 blog completed in 2 days. I only do 2 a week now. Used to do 4 a week. When I had writers I did 8 a week.

I get ideas for blog topics using Step 1 of the tutorial:
http://money-traffic.blogspot.com/2006/06/blogger-adsense-step-1.html

I use Digital Point. There is a link to them in step one. This step is critical so you know where the pockets of low competion are.

Good Q&A ;-)

Steve,

Well I just use the plain min theme for most all blogs. It's clean and simple. I don't fuss with them. My only priority is content, and moving on to the next blog or post.

You said you run multiple blogger accounts. How many blogs can you run per account without getting in trouble with Google? The last thing I would want was to have them wipe my blogs after all the effort I had put into them.
Thanks!

Kenny said...

I do about 25 blogs per account.

Do you only submit to MSN and Yahoo search engines? What other ways do you use to promote your blogs?

Kenny said...

I don't. By submitting your blog into Yahoo and MSN you are just speeding things up a little. The truth is you don't need to do anything. Google's (or Blogger's) update services inform all directories that your blog is there.

Kenny -

What are some of the methods you use to get incoming links to these blogs?

Ping? Tag/Ping? Reciprocal linking? Linking from other blogs? Article submission? etc...

How many blogs are you running at this time in point?

I see that you have 2 adsense accounts. Is all the income from both accounts from your blogspot.com blogs? ...if not, what portion?

Kenny said...

When your blog is niched enough, you don't need linking. This goes for many static sites as well, but a blog has many advantages.

Regarding the Adsense pics. Those are courtesy of two different entities, and I can't speculate on percentages, because only one of them is mine. I can tell you this. The lion's share of mine is from Blogger traffic.

Mike said...

what do you use to keep track of the traffic going to your blogs?

Kenny said...

Statcounter is what I use. It's free and tracks alot of the information.

Kenny how much do you earn per month with your 500 blogs? and do you do anything else besides blogging?

Mike said...

What are your methods on finding a good niche, supply/demand from wordtracker/overture. Do you do it all manually in excel/spreadsheet program (find keywords, then look for the competition on google/yahoo/msn)? or do you have a quicker method? Thanks

how comes you dont mention anything about optmizing titles or on your diabetics.. you dont have individual post pages.. like i click on the titles and nothing happens.. it should go to its own post.. it doesnt.. so your telling me you create your blogs to be found for the 1 keyword phrase on your homepage.. and not the way 90% of bloggers do which is getting found for countless title keywords in their posts??

You can get hits on as many keywords as you want. Just add another post on another keyword. Diabteic Socks is simply an example of a niche blog. Studying that as pure gospel is not the idea. That niche blog will have the odd new post if I feel like it. It's example of where you want to be when you launch a niche blog.

As far as clicking titles goes, these are Blogger blogs and the default is set with no link in the title. Won't matter anyway because the spiders will find the pages anyway. Some of my niche blogs will get more posts AFTER they proof themselves. I generally start off with 5-7-10 posts per niche blog. IF they start receiving attention from the search engines, they will be attended too.

As far as optimizing titles, that will also be touched on in a future post. You will want to include the keyword you are going after in the post of course.

Basic SE.

do you recommend setting up a static site of about 5 pages with a backend blog? instead of just a blog?

Kenny,

I was just wondering, do you do those 6-10 posts on a niche blog all at once, or do you spread it out over a week or so? I noticed your diabetic socks blog posts were on different days. Does it make a difference at all? Also, I've heard that you should ping your blogs at pingomatic.com. Does this help in any way, and should it be done after every blog? Thanks.

Best regards,
John

Hey again Kenny,

Is there any way to bring up older posts to the main page? Some of my best posts with great information and keywords were posted first and I want them on the main page. If not, do you purposely make your first posts not as "good" and save the best information for the last post? Or do you recommend making all your posts on word, and then sorting out the best ones to post last? Thanks a lot.

Best,
John

I trickle in the posts over a week sometimes. I bang them all off sometimes. No difference.

My Diabetic sock example is already getting traffic and has made some bucks in the last week. It only has 2 articles last I looked.

As far as the recent post issue goes. I've never figured that one out, but it's on my to-do list.

Hey,

I just have one more question. How many searches would you say warrants a niche blog? Something like under 300,000 on MSN, and under 700,000 on yahoo? I know in the example you gave us in the tutorial the numbers were similar to above, but you said you "keep testing and testing until I find VERY low competition for a keyword". What would you say is your average search count per keyword, and how would you define very low? If you don't want to give out more specifics, I understand. I just want to make sure I'm not wasting hours and hours on keywords that have too much competition. Thanks again.

Best,
John

Regarding what varus said...keeping your best post on the main page(with blogger)...I would also like to find a way to do that instead of just adding to the same looong post.

Hi Kenny,

I was just wondering if you've heard of the site www.theblogsolution.com. It's an automated tool that makes you 1000's of blogs fast with high search engine rankings. I'm NOT tempted to use it, but I was wondering if software like this will flood the internet with blogs, making our job harder. Will blogs created by software like this be found and taken off by google? Thanks.

Best,
John

Hi Kenny,

Does it work if you have a sort of general purpose blog with multiple related niche keywords in a category such as business and finance? And you put one substantial post on the main page, so that the adsense ads are on target for each post (page)? Thanks.

John
